Scottish Provident Institution
Scottish Provident Institution
The Scottish Provident Institution building was built in sections between 1897 and 1902 with a design by Young & Mackenzie. It is situated on Donegall Square West and takes up around two thirds of the street. Originally intended as an officeblock it now houses shops, cafés and nightclubs as well as office space. During the 1920s the Belfast architect J St. J. Phillips had a private practice in the building. Info:Befast Wiki
