The Boat-Mats Farm Masolles Gammelgård
The Båt.Mats farm, now called Masolles Gammelgård, was orginally situated in the village of Björken by the road to Hjulbäck only a few hundred yards from its present location.
The artist Helmer Masolle purchased the farm at an auction in 1918, and during the 40s it was moved to this site.
The Farm represents the building style of the north of Sweden, where the buildings belonging to the farm always form a compound to prevent attacks from wild animals and possible enemies.
